Review: Local Natives - "Heavy Feet"

Local Natives Heavy Feet

It seems like Local Natives are always trying to write an epic song, an objective one would have a hard time not finding admirable. Like with "Breakers", this new number contains continuous building tension, contemplative lyrics and emotive wails. The instrumentation and recording dynamics mimic their past work, but the song's outstanding quality makes things as noteworthy as ever. The single, our second introduction to the Los Angeles group's sophomore effort Hummingbird, probably won't disappoint any devoted fans and will most likely win over a few non-believers.
