Review: Toro Y Moi - "Say That"

Toro Y Moi in a tree

Toro Y Moi has decided to premiere his fast-approaching new album's second single via another sexual energy-packed visual, which isn't a bad idea when you have this HARRYS director guy at your disposal.

These days it seems Chazwick has trimmed out some of the experimental aspects covering his back catalogue. Luckily, it hasn't been a bad thing yet. His new fuck-it-lets-just-get-down swagger makes me think of the South Carolina producer as more of a club DJ rather than a band you are most likely to see at a live music venue, but I don't mean to pigeonhole the man. Through simply the quality of "So Many Details" and now "Say That", Bundick has proven once again he's not your typical electronic artist. For what exact reasons, I don't know. My guess is it's in the details.
