Fun Fun Fest announces 2012 lineup

Fun Fun Fest 2012 lineup poster

Now that we know Run-DMC will be at Fun Fun Fest, the two living thirds at least, it's time to find out if the rest of the 2012 lineup is worth ponying up $175 for a three-day pass. Some of the top billed acts are: Santigold, Girl Talk, Public Image LTD., Refused, X (performing Los Angeles), A$AP Rocky (main support for DMC) and comedian David Cross.

Other noteworthy names include: Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Head and The Heart, Explosions In The Sky, Starfucker, Real Estate, Against Me!, Fucked Up, Wavves, Superchunk, Lucero, Napalm Death, Lagwagon, OFF!, Sharon Van Etten, Danny Brown, Minus The Bear, Paul Banks (of Interpol), Bob Mould, Why?, Atlas Sound, Titus Andronicus, Japandroids, ScHoolboy Q, Charli XCX, Cursive, Twin Sister, Dum Dum Girls, The Promise Ring, Surfer Blood and Yellow Ostrich.

There are also many other great bands/artists performing. See the poster above for the full list. The first two on sales sold out, so I wouldn't delay hoping on the current one. You can pick up your tickets here. The festival runs November 2nd, 3rd and 4th at Austin's Auditorium Shores.
