Grouplove cover Andrew W.K.'s "Party Hard" acoustically

The last time Grouplove passed on through Chicago they hit up the A.V. Club headquarters to make their contribution to the rarely ever not entertaining Undercover series. "Party Hard" was the track of choice. At least after frontman Christian Zucconi's suggestion to brave a Steve Albini number was shot down. Keyboardist Hannah Hooper said the group picked the rock staple because it was such a "recognizable song lyrically", which for some reason meant: "we could do whatever we wanted with it."

How did it turn out? For starters the L.A. quintet decided to perform the Andrew W.K. hit acoustically. It surprisingly led to a pleasant rendition of the party jam, except for the fact that their cover put on display just how dumb the lyrics of the song really are. Props to Prefix for pointing this out.
