Aimee Mann announces new album 'Charmer', stream single

Aimee Mann

It has been four years since Aimee Mann's last album @#%&*! Smilers hit stores. For those of you who think the wait between records has been too long, take some comfort in knowing that come September 18th the veteran songstress will release a new full-length, titled Charmer.

We have more good news! Today, Roling Stone is premiering the effort's title-track. The number is an upbeat synth-pop cut with lyrics aimed at all the smooth-talkers with hidden agendas. Enjoy it right here.

If you find the concept behind the lead single interesting, you might like to know Mann stated in a press release that the entire album explores similar topics – "It's hard to remember sometimes that there is usually an agenda behind the act of being charming, and that is what I'm most interested in."

Aimee's own label Superego Records will handle the release.
