Dirty Projectors hit Fallon, Grouplove do Leno

Dirty Projectors

Last night, Los Angeles' Grouplove made their way to The Tonight Show's Burbank studios to perform their single "Tongue Tied", which just reached #1 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart. Singer Christian Zucconi came sporting purple hair, a tropical shirt and a guitar with "Truth" written in duck tape on it. The show's first guest Matthew McConaughey even stuck around to shake everyone's hands.

Later in the night, TV watchers saw Brooklyn's Dirty Projectors perform "Gun Has No Trigger" on Fallon. It was the group's first live appearance in over a year, which was led in with a trailer for "Hi Custodian", an upcoming film project featuring music from the band's new album Swing Lo Magellan, which lands July 10th.
