Hot Chip cover Prince's "If I Was Your Girlfriend"

Hot Chip

After performing their new single "Night And Day", talking with Zane Lowe about their upcoming record and the passing of Adam "MCA" Yauch, English outfit Hot Chip gave BBC Radio 1 listeners a treat by covering Prince's "If I Was Your Girlfriend". The electropop group's take on the 1987 single – introduced with a bit of "Look at Where We Are", off their forthcoming effort – can be heard over at the BBC, at the 1:19:50 mark. Video of the guys recording "Night And Day" in session can be found below.

In Our Heads arrives at retailers on 11th/12th (US/UK) through Domino. Last week, we saw the Terence Stamp-starring video for "Night And Day". HC hit our shores for a full North American trek this July. Those shows are on sale now.
