Bloc Party announce new album 'Four', teaser video

Bloc Party

Four years after the release of their third studio album, London outfit Bloc Party have finally announced their plans to put out LP #4. Appropriately, the effort will be titled Four and it will hit stores on August 21st through their new label Frenchkiss Records. View the cover art above.

Though the group opted not to reveal the full-length's tracklist just yet, they have given us an album teaser. It features clips of three (?) new songs. You can check that out and find an excerpt from frontman Kele's blog post regarding the album, below. If you're a fan, be sure to read the full post over at his blog as it sheds some light on the past break up/member change rumors.

in the past there has been so much written about what our records have meant, so much context and back story but i am adamant that this time these songs will stand on their own. this record is the sound of four people in a room, loving what they do and doing it to the best of their ability. it is the sound that only the four of us could make and i am prouder of it than any record we have ever made.
