Handsome Furs call it quits

Just under a year ago Wolf Parade announced their indefinite hiatus. Today, Dan Boeckner's other well-known musical project, which was essentially just him and his wife Alexei Perry, have announced their break up. Unlike some bands, the duo kept their statement short by simply saying that Handsome Furs were "no more".

The second sentence of their three sentence post declared that: "The most important thing that needs to be said right now is how extremely grateful we are to all the fans all over the world that showered us with love and support over the years."

Boeckner and Perry started the group back in 2006 and have released three full-length albums on Sub Pop since then. The latest being last year's Sound Kapital. Watch the video for "Cannot Get Started", a track off their 2007 debut, Plague Park, below.
