The Walkmen have revealed that they have finished recording their seventh studio album. The yet-to-be titled effort was produced by Phil Ek (Built To Spill, Fleet Foxes) at Avast Studios in Seattle. Hamilton Leithauser & Co.'s follow up to 2010's Lisbon is expected out this summer on Fat Possum/Bella Union.
With the announcement comes an "embarrassing recording of a spontaneous outburst of frustration that occurred during the very rigorous sessions". What does that mean exactly? Well, the NYC rock band busted out a sweet U2 medley, which you can now listen too over at their Facebook page. Trust us, it's worth checking out.
If you missed it, check out a high quality video of The Walkmen performing a new song titled "Heartbreaker" live, below.
