Music video: Kindness - "Gee Up"

With a month to go before the release of his debut full-length, Kindness (aka Adam Bainbridge) has released a hilarious new music video. The meta-clip finds Bainbridge and backing band on set making a music video for the song “Gee Up”. It starts with Bainbridge choosing a t-shirt, goes into the song for a minute and a half, and then turns into a satirical three-minute film about everybody’s reactions to the performance. “Gee Up” itself is funky tongue-in-cheek bass-driven track; it’s “lo-fi with hi-fi” values as the man in the video says.
Kindness first released the song back in 2009 as the B-side to a cover of the Replacements’ “Swingin’ Party”. Now the song appears on World, You Need a Change of Mind, Kindness’ debut full-length, out March 19 via Female Energy/Polydor.
