Graham Coxon confirms new Blur album

British indie-pop pioneers Blur have been hinting around at the idea of a new album for the past several years. The four-piece reunited back in 2009 after six years apart for an extensive tour, the 2009 live album, All The People, and the 2010 single “Fool’s Day”. Almost three years after getting back together, though, there hasn’t been much news about a follow-up to 2003’s Think Tank.

Now guitarist Graham Coxon has confirmed that there is a new Blur album on the way. Coxon told The Daily Record:

“We haven’t planned the rehearsals yet, but there will definitely be another Blur album. 2009 was an amazing healing experience for us. We were really swept away with it and got a lot out of our systems. We realized how much we still had in common, that we are good friends, that we are brothers”.

There are no specifics yet about the album but now that the cat’s out of the bag there should be more news on the way.
