Ben Browning (Cut Copy) - "I Can't Stay"

Ben Browning

Cut Copy's bassist Ben Browning has announced that on March 19th he will release a solo EP, entitled Lover Motion, through the band's label Cutters. You can listen to the effort's lead single "I Can't Stay", which is a chilled out 80s-esque electronic pop track, below.

The talents of ARCHITECTURE IN HELSINKI's Gus Franklin and Haima Marriott were enlisted to add production and shimmer, with Franklin even laying down live-drums on the final recording. Meanwhile, CC's own Dan Whitford reached into his collection of vintage synths to provide keyboard programming, producing some of the the classic keyboard tones herein.

Last year, CC was rumored to be at work on their follow-up to 2011's critically acclaimed Zonoscope. Not much other info on that pending effort is available at the moment, but we'll keep you in the loop.
