Review: On An On - "Ghosts"

On An On Ghosts

A perfect example of when a whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Broken down, "Ghosts" features a simple drum track, professional production, above average vocals and respectable lyrics that straddle the plains of poetry and modern day dialogue. While it may also sound pretty good dissected, together, the song establishes a rather moving visceral connection. A hook isn't really anywhere to be found, but the slow, not always linear build of the tune does a good enough job at keeping one's interest. The cut doesn't really end up going anywhere, but than again, it's more about enjoying the ride.
