Watch Paul McCartney and Nirvana perform "Cut Me Some Slack"

Novoselic performing with Nirvana and Paul McCartney

As rumored, Paul McCartney did front a Nirvana reunion of sorts earlier tonight during the 12.12.12 Sandy Relief Benefit Concert at Madison Square Garden. Unfortunately, instead of us getting to witness McCartney rip through a Cobain-penned tune or even a Beatles number with Grohl, Novoselic and touring guitarist Smear, we did get to see the group perform a hard-hitting new original song called "Cut Me Some Slack", which according to a Dave Grohl was recorded about six months ago for his upcoming documentary Sound City. Video proof of the epic happening can be found below along with a interview Grohl and Novoselic did with Fuse.
