Review: SBTRKT - "Terminal"

Despite being thrown on Soundcloud without any notice or even legitimate cover art, "Terminal" is far from a throwaway studio idea. Like stand-up comedians doing acting work to expand their brands, producers such as SBTRKT may feel pressure to release official singles with guest vocals (or samples) to attain a cross-genre reach. However, it's obvious their true passion and expertise falls with instrumentals such as this.

In the case of "Terminal" -- a hypnotizing low-end-glorifying product of Jerome's recent time in the studio -- the beat will probably win over true IDM fans and maybe anyone listening through a quality set of headphones.
