Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids recently took apart in a series, titled Old Ideas with New Friends Leonard Cohen tribute, where they along with other artists (Deerhunter's Bradford Cox, Cults, and the New Pornographers' A.C. Newman) recorded covers of their favorite Leonard Cohen songs.

The Long Beach band decided to take on the accomplished poet's tune "There Is a War", which appears on Cohen's 1974 album, New Skin for the Old Ceremony. Video of their rendition can be viewed below, courtesy of Filter.

Cohen's twelfth studio album, Old Ideas, drops January 31st via Columbia Records. CWK just dropped two (different versions of the same song) very impressive new tunes, "Minimum Day" & Minimum Mistake".
