Those Mockingbirds @ Maxwells 1.20.12 (review, video)

Those Mockingbirds NJ band

The band was celebrating the vinyl release of their Fa Sol La EP & brought some friends to help celebrate. NJ's rising stoner metal act The Sun The Moon The Stars damn near brought the house down with skullbashing riffs. The band has some great shows coming up including Warren American Legion this Friday and performances with Maylene & The Sons of Disaster at the Knitting Factory (2/22) & Milk Boy Philly (2/23).

There was something special about Those Mockingbirds' performance that night. Was it the enthusiastic crowd? Was it World/Inferno Friendship Society's violinist Rebecca Schlappich making a guest appearance for the track "Don't Stray"? Was it the fact that the show was oversold by 50 tickets? Was it the fact that I could barely see them from being almost blinded by photographers throughout the night? Whatever it was, the band put on one of their best performances yet.

If you didn't make it out, dont fret! Some video from Those Mockingbirds' performance can be seen below. If you didnt get a vinyl copy of Fa Sol La at the show, you can still pre-order them here.
