Watch Dr. Dog combine "My Friend" and Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher"

Dr Dog Be The Void

For the last month or so, Dr. Dog have been posting 30-second previews of each track from their upcoming album, Be The Void. This week the Philadelphia boys gave their fans a little more with a two-minute session video. In a studio filled with awesome keyboards, the band plays their Fate track “My Friend”. At some point Eric Slick comes in with the drum-part from Van Halen’s 1984 classic “Hot For Teacher” and the two polar opposite songs became one.

Along with the video, the band posted: “After two weeks in the studio recording new songs, Dr. Dog spent a day practicing old songs to prepare for the DMB Caravan festival in Atlantic City and a week of shows in California.Slick knows just about every song ever recorded, including Van Halen's epic, ‘Hot For Teacher’”

Unfortunately there is no new album preview this week, but the Van Halen-Dr. Dog merger is probably enough for one week. Be The Void is out February 7 via ANTI- Records and the video is available below.
