The National will curate All Tomorrow's Parties & Crossing Brooklyn Ferry music festivals

The National

Brooklynites The National have just been confirmed as the curators for this December’s All Tomorrow’s Parties Music Festival. The festival — curated by Jeff Mangum this year — takes place at Butlins Holiday Centre inMinehead, Somerset, UK from December 7 to 9. While it’s still almost a year away, there are already a few confirmed guests including Sharon Van Etten, Wye Oak, Kronos Quartet, Tim Hecker, Own Pallett, and the Antlers.

It was also just announced that the National’s twin frontmen Bryce and Aaron Dessner will curate this year’s Crossing Brooklyn Ferry Music Festival. The festival is put on by Brooklyn Academy of Music and will take place at BAM’s Peter Jay Sharp Building on May 3 to 5. There are no confirmed acts yet, but, according to BAM, “each of the three nights features a different roster of innovative New York City bands and artists from a cross section of genres — plus screenings of commissioned short films and accompanying scores and a late-night dance party”.
