Listen to Leonard Cohen's "Going Home"

Leonard Cohen Old Ideas

Legendary poet/musician Leonard Cohen released a new track from his upcoming Old Ideas today. The new song, “Going Home”, started as a poem of the same title and appeared in this week’s New Yorker Magazine. Now the New Yorker has posted the album recording of “Going Home”. It’s a sparse track, driven by Cohen’s haunting voice and some minimal piano, strings, and backup vocals.

The full album comes out January 31 via Columbia Records and will be Cohen’s first full album of original material since Dear Heather in 2004. Listen to “Going Home” over at the New Yorker, and check out two other album tracks — “Darkness” and “Show Me The Place” — plus the “Going Home” poem below.
