Lou Reed & Metallica's 'Lulu' gets release date

By now you should know that Lou Reed and Metallica are set to release a collaborative album together. If you haven't been keeping up, we can now reveal that the forthcoming LP titled Lulu has been given a release date of November 1st via Warner Bros. Records.

The album, which is made up of songs Reed originally wrote for the Berlin theater production Lulu Plays, was produced by the Velvet Underground mastermind himself as well as Metallica and Hal Willner. Metallica guitarist, Kirk Hammett stated: "It's definitely not a Metallica album, or a Lou Reed album," - "It's something else. It's a new animal, a hybrid." More info to come soon.
