Lana Del Rey

The self-proclaimed 'gangsta Nancy Sinatra' aka Lana Del Rey has a blooming hit on her hands. The Chan Marshall/Alice Smith/Amy Winehouse-esque (sans crack) singer's music video for "Video Games" is gaining attention rather rapidly. The visual, which was only posted up back in May has already raked up over 120,000 views on Youtube.

Unlike the majority of other viral videos, the track is hands down the driving force behind the developing/impending hype of this talented NY songstress. For a song built with a backbone of 60s pop, it has a surprisingly refreshing and pioneering energy to it. However, the best part about coming across Lana may be that the other cuts of hers I was able to find, "Kinda Outta Luck" and "Diet Mtn Dew", are just as up to par.

Oh and did I mention she's rather beautiful? Well, I guess you can see that for yourselves. Anyway, have a hunch that in a handful of months from now quite a few more people are going to be riding on the Lana Del Rey train. You might as well jump on now.
