Val Emmich hits Kickstarter goal in one day. Recording new album.

Val Emmich new album

Val Emmich just launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to raise funds for a new full-length album. The goal is to hit $7000 by the end of the month. How much more does he have left to go? Um, well, $0.

In just one day the NJ songwriter hit his Kickstarter goal plus some! That doesn't mean you still can't grab cool stuff while supporting Val at the same time. Head over to his Kickstarter page to check out his video and pledge.

The musician/actor's follow up to 2010's Looking For A Feeling You Never Knew You Needed will be recorded live in Bright Eye's studio in Omaha, NE over just seven days. Emmich's reasoning for recording the new LP the way he is can be found below. Check out Jim Testa's full article over at NJ.com.

“I built the schedule in a way that doesn’t give me any leeway,” Emmich said. “I have to fly out of Omaha the day we finish recording. I’m trying to save myself from myself. I know my mind can get crazy. And when you work on your own stuff, you can fiddle. The less I fiddle, the more real it becomes. I’ve always wanted to make an album that totally captures the feel of a live performance. I think with this record, we’re going to come very close to that.”
