Dan Duggins, former drummer of Hot Rod Circuit and Zigmat, suffered a massive stroke last April due to a blood clot in his neck. The musician was in a “locked in” state for sometime, but has since made improvements. Like many other musicians, Dan does not have health insurance, leaving him with a hefty medical bill. A benefit to raise money for Dan’s medical costs will be held on April 22nd, 2011 at Clash Bar in Clifton, NJ.
Waking Lights, Old Wives (ex. Further Seems Forever), Gerry Perlinski and Lisa Bianco will appear on the bill. They'll also be some special guests stopping by. Benefit organizer and former Duggins bandmate, Gerry Perlinski had this to say, “Dan is an amazing drummer, performer and all around great guy. Although he may still have a long road ahead, his positive spirit and sheer determination shines through and has been inspiration to us on many levels. We are all coming out on this night to show him support and give him a big thumbs up!”
