NJ college radio stations up for mtvU Woodie

Three NJ college radio stations have been nominated for a 2011 mtvU Woodie. Unsurprisingly, they are all up for the category of "College Radio Woodie". The nominated stations include: Seton Hall's WSOU, William Paterson's WPSC and Rutgers' WVPH. You can do your part in supporting your favorite NJ (or non-NJ) college radio station by voting over at RateMyProfessor. It's unclear when voting exactly ends, but they will reveal the top 25 stations (down from 50) on February 8th. FYI, You can vote as many times as you want.

Plenty of things changed with the Woodies this year. For one, the event will no longer take place at NYC's Roseland Ballroom. It actually won't take place in New York City at all. Also, if paid attention in the past you might have noticed that there was no 2010 Woodies this past December, which is when the event is usually held. Instead this year's awards ceremony will take place in Austin, TX during SXSW! The sixth annual MTVU Woodie Awards will air live for the first time ever on March 16, at 12AM (ET/PT) on MTV, MTV2 and MTVU.

The irony in this is its a pretty sure fire bet the majority of people who give a damn about anything MTV related probably don't listen to college radio or any terrestrial radio stations for that matter.
