The xx LP2 Details

Jamie xx

Since releasing their highly acclaimed self-titled debut album two years ago, Jamie xx of The xx has had quite a few noteworthy career moments. This includes a collaboration with the late, great Gil-Scott Heron on We're New Here, and most recently he provided the sample music for the title track off Drake's latest chart-topping LP. Now it appears that the production wizard's next step is to put the finishing touches on The xx's sophomore release. In an interview with The Creators Project, Jaime said,  "The majority of the stuff that I'm working now is the xx stuff. We're just about to start recording. Hopefully we'll get it done in time to be asked to do festivals next year, because that's the most fun."

As for what the new album will sound like, apparently club music will be a more prominent theme than on the first go-around. "Club music has definitely had an influence on the next record" Jaime stated. Watch the entire interview below.
