It's been over eight years since the death of legendary indie folk singer Elliott Smith's tragic death, but he still manages to bring us joy. Earlier this year, Ben Weisholtz, a former DJ at University of Maryland's WMUC radio station, found a 1997 recording of Smith playing in the studio. It turns out Smith decided to warm up with a song called "Misery Let Me Down," which was never released. Smith stops and clears his throat before finishing, but it doesn't take much away from two minutes of beautiful music history. Listen below.
