Cursive @ Maxwell's 8.6.09

Cursive band live at Maxwell'sThe band Cursive performing at Maxwell's

After an hours worth of setting up, Cursive took the stage around 10:15pm.  They greeted the sold out crowd with "Butcher the Song." Though the crowd was responsive the whole night, during the second half of the set things started to turn chaotic.  People were crowd surfing into microphone stands, crazy drunk girls were trying to steel set lists from the stage and everyone in the audience was just trying to keep balance. Tim made a long talk about how the Devil is real and how he met him once. Overall, it was everything you'd expected from a Cursive show.

Cursive have been on the road supporting their sixth full-length record Mama, I'm Swollen, which came out this past March on Saddle Creek. You can pick that up at Amazon.
