Full of Fancy, The Dopamines @ Meat Town USA 6/24

Full of Fancy

Full of Fancy live at Meat Town

Singer of Full of Fancy performing live

Full of Fancy are a girl fronted punk band that have been tearing things up for a few years. Last night they played to a close to full basement in the New Brunswick house that is Meat Town USA.  Now with an added guitarist, Full of Fancy's set was even more intense than usual. They steamed through a set of songs that seem to be a combination of influences from The Breeders, Ramones and The Vivian Girls.  Overall, Full of Fancy brought the rock and left no one disappointed... not even the guy who got pied in the face. I suggest you definitely check out "PollyO String Theory".

The Dopamines

Punk band The Dopamines

The Dopamines performing in New Brunswick

The Dopamines are a pop-PUNK band from Cincinnati that have very little in common with pop punk bands today. They don't write songs with the "radio hit!" mentality, they don't wear neon clothes, or have sweet myspace layouts with individual band member twitter updates. What's their deal? They'd rather play old school pop punk that makes you want to move, mosh and NOT want to pull a Van Gogh. Other things to know about these guys are, they shotgun cans of beer during songs, their bassist has a striking resemblance of Jonah Hill and when there's technical difficulties the singer might break out a song off of Pinkerton (yea!).
