Mason Jennings took the early show of a doubleheader at Maxwell's this past Saturday. The sold out show was a part of Jennings national tour he is currently on supporting his new record Blood of Man. The new album just came out in September on Jack Johnson's owned label, Brushfire Records. The record features more use of electric guitars then his past records. Mason played all the instruments on the record. You can purchase the record at Amazon and if you for some reason don't have his past records, the MP3 below should be reason enough to check them out as well.
Jennings set mixed songs mostly off his last three records, Boneclouds, In The Ever & Blood of Man. The end of his set was played solo. Mason played crowd favorites such as Jackson Square, If You Need A Reason and Your New Man with just an acoustic guitar accompanying him. The extra long 90 minute set made the Pierced Arrows show start late, but of course Mason Jennings fans had no complaints.
